Established in 1923, the Virginia War Museum interprets and showcases local war history through exhibits like Hampton Roads Port of Embarkation, the Fowler Gallery of Arms, and the Evolution of Weaponry display. The Museum features uniforms, artillery, antique posters, and other war memorabilia ranging from the 1500's to the present. It is located on the west end of Newport News, on the east side of Huntington Park.
